Meet the foresters behind JungleRoads

Late Aloke Sharma

Aloke was a wildlife enthusiast who had been roaming across jungles in India in search of nothing. After a stint of 16 years of career in financial services, it was just one fine morning when he decided to do what he likes the most – explore and share the beauty of jungles. It was just his love for the jungles and Tigers and the lust to be around them that made him quit his cosy job and start the 2nd innings of his career to set up his own venture into wildlife tourism. His experience in organising a number of wildlife trips across various jungles in India for his corporate clients, intermediaries and large group of friends comes in handy in understanding the needs of his guests from all cadres including corporates, travel agents and FITs. Aloke was a Post Graduate and had worked with organisations like ABN AMRO, Kotak Mahindra and JM Financial in his first innings of his career and his last assignment was with Religare Invesco wherein he was an Executive Vice President and National Head for Retail Sales and Business Development.

"Call him for a Jungle Safari any time during the day or night and you would find him in the vehicle before you."

"A beautiful soul is never forgotten."

Pankaj K Chaudhary

Pankaj is a mountain lover and travel freak who just wants to travel to every hill station in India. You show him a cliff and here comes the full story about the place, roads, places to see and the To Dos and Don'ts out there…. Being a passionate driver, his drives across the jungles of India bit him with the wildlife bug and that added the jungle fever to the mountain buff.

Pankaj is a Hotel Management Graduate and his learnings and skillset comes in handy in the day to day Operations and Guest Relations at JungleRoads. He is a disciplined bed timer, who can lose his night sleep for nothing but for entertaining guests attended by him or for the morning safaris. Prior to setting uo JungleRoads, Pankaj has worked with organisations like Fidelity, Templeton and ICICI and his last stint was with Religare as a Northern Regional Head for its Asset Management business.

Sapna Sharma

I am delighted to welcome Ms. Sapna Sharma in Jungleroads team as a partner. She will be managing the show at Jungle Roads with me. Sapna completed her B.Com and CA inter group in 2001. After her marriage with Aloke in 2003 she moved to Kolkata. For next 14 years she travelled all across the country with Aloke and lastly settling in Mumbai since Aloke was head of sales at Religare Mutual Fund. Aloke and I started this venture in the year 2014. We were keen to bring Sapna into our venture because of her experience in successful managing chain of boutiques. With the sudden demise of Aloke in February, she is clear to pursue Aloke's dream and passion. I am personally very excited to work along with her and take Jungleroads to a level where it should be preferred choice of people whenever they think of visiting Jungle…Best of luck to Sapna and want each and every one of our well-wisher to wish us success in times to come..
